Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Mallards in the Garden (from the series Echoes of Albany) by Keith Coventry for GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,467.81). This price was achieved in the auction Modern | British Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Keith Coventry achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nice - Vue de l'Escalier le Sage in January 2020 with an auction result of GBP 65,000.00 (€ 77,316.78).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Mallards in the Garden (from the series Echoes of Albany) von Keith Coventry für GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.467,81) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern | British Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Keith Coventry erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nice - Vue de l'Escalier le Sage im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 65.000,00 (€ 77.316,78).
