Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Chicksand Estate by Keith Coventry was sold in the The Fine Art Society: 142 Years on New Bond Street auction at Sothebys in London in February 2019. The price achieved of GBP 21,250.00 (€ 24,788.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Keith Coventry - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nice - Vue de l'Escalier le Sage, which sold at auction in January 2020 for GBP 65,000.00 (€ 77,316.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Chicksand Estate von Keith Coventry wurde im Februar 2019 in der Auktion The Fine Art Society: 142 Years on New Bond Street bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 21.250,00 (€ 24.788,87) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Keith Coventry mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nice - Vue de l'Escalier le Sage beobachtet, die im Januar 2020 für GBP 65.000,00 (€ 77.316,78) versteigert wurde.
