Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still life with flowers by Kees Verwey was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,500.00 – 350,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kees Verwey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work De Stoel In De Zon (Atelier Impressie) in June 2001 with an auction result of NLG 82,250.00 (€ 39,533.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still life with flowers von Kees Verwey kam im Juni 2016 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.500,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kees Verwey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit De Stoel In De Zon (Atelier Impressie) im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 82.250,00 (€ 39.533,19).
