Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of EUR 4,375.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Kees Verwey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work De Stoel In De Zon (Atelier Impressie) in June 2001 with an auction result of NLG 82,250.00 (€ 39,533.19).

Die Arbeit A still life with flowers von Kees Verwey kam im September 2012 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 4.375,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Kees Verwey auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit De Stoel In De Zon (Atelier Impressie) im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 82.250,00 (€ 39.533,19).
