In November 2018 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Vientos atravesados by Kazuya Sakai. The »bidding war« ended at USD 62,500.00 (€ 55,197.39), 56% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Kazuya Sakai; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Sky of Texas sold at auction in September last year with the realized price of USD 107,100.00 (€ 109,475.62).

Im November 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vientos atravesados von Kazuya Sakai zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 62.500,00 (€ 55.197,39) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Kazuya Sakai; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Sky of Texas im September letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 107.100,00 (€ 109.475,62).
