Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Kaz Oshiro could be acquired at Phillips in New York in November 2015 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work Fender Showman Amp with Cabinet #1 (Screaming Hand) changed hands for USD 28,750.00 (€ 27,220.22) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Other works by Kaz Oshiro have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2014 by the work File Cabinets (black/black) at USD 52,500.00 (€ 42,209.36).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Kaz Oshiro konnte im November 2015 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Fender Showman Amp with Cabinet #1 (Screaming Hand) für USD 28.750,00 (€ 27.220,22) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Kaz Oshiro wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im November 2014 die Arbeit File Cabinets (black/black) mit USD 52.500,00 (€ 42.209,36).
