This artwork by Kay Sage achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2007. In the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work Someone Called Me sold for USD 72,000.00 (€ 53,835.80) - well above the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kay Sage achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Passage in February 2014 with an auction result of GBP 4,338,500.00 (€ 5,263,644.43).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Kay Sage erzielte im März 2007 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture wurde die Arbeit Someone Called Me für USD 72.000,00 (€ 53.835,80) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kay Sage erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Passage im Februar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 4.338.500,00 (€ 5.263.644,43).
