This artwork by Katy Moran achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in an online auction in November 2020. In the Wired: Online Auction auction, the work Travel Cat sold for GBP 8,190.00 (€ 9,142.80) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Katy Moran have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 62,557.75).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Katy Moran erzielte im November 2020 bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Wired: Online Auction wurde die Arbeit Travel Cat für GBP 8.190,00 (€ 9.142,80) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Katy Moran auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 62.557,75).
