Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tim, b. 1982, 2004 by Katy Grannan was auctioned at Christies in Paris in November 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 8,750.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Katy Grannan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Anonymous, Los Angeles, which sold at auction in April 2015 for USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,157.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tim, b. 1982, 2004 von Katy Grannan kam im November 2017 bei Christies in Paris zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 8.750,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Katy Grannan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Anonymous, Los Angeles beobachtet, die im April 2015 für USD 22.500,00 (€ 20.157,68) versteigert wurde.
