KATSUKAWA SHUNSHO (1726-1792)
Edo period (1615-1868), circa 1775-1776
A chuban tate-e print titled Chokusen sansho waka, migi (Imperial Anthology of Three Waka Poems about Dawn, the right [sheet]), depicting a lady, holding a pipe and her maid carrying a portable brazier walking near a cascading waterfall, and admiring the cherry blossoms, with a poem related to the scene in the cartouche above, signed Shunsho ga; mounted on card. 26cm x 18.5cm (10¼in x 7 5/16in).
