In April 2017 Christies in London held the auction First Open, which included this untitled work by Katja Strunz. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,625.00 (€ 12,617.37), 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Katja Strunz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work WHITE SPIRITUS (BACKVIEW), which sold at auction in September 2015 for USD 32,500.00 (€ 29,116.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im April 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion First Open durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Katja Strunz zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.625,00 (€ 12.617,37) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Katja Strunz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit WHITE SPIRITUS (BACKVIEW) beobachtet, die im September 2015 für USD 32.500,00 (€ 29.116,65) versteigert wurde.
