Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2005 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art including Russian Pictures, which included the work Anglers before a bridge by Karl Daubigny. It changed hands for a price of GBP 5,760.00 (€ 8,360.32) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Karl Daubigny - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La plage, which sold at auction in October 2006 for USD 36,000.00 (€ 28,184.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art including Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Anglers before a bridge von Karl Daubigny zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 5.760,00 (€ 8.360,32) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Karl Daubigny mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La plage beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für USD 36.000,00 (€ 28.184,45) versteigert wurde.
