Auction result well in line with expectations
The work On the estuary at dusk by Karl Heffner was sold in the AT HOME - BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS OF ART auction at Christies in London in March 2004. It changed hands for a price of GBP 478.00 (€ 715.52) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by Karl Heffner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Dutch waterway at dusk in May 2007 with an auction result of GBP 2,880.00 (€ 4,238.11).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit On the estuary at dusk von Karl Heffner wurde im März 2004 in der Auktion AT HOME - BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS OF ART bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 478,00 (€ 715,52) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Karl Heffner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Dutch waterway at dusk im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.880,00 (€ 4.238,11).
