Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2010 Phillips in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Part II, which included the work Pushed, Pulled, Depleted & Duplicated by Karin Davie. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 20,211.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Karin Davie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Psyche, which sold at auction in September 2010 for USD 74,500.00 (€ 54,775.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2010 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pushed, Pulled, Depleted & Duplicated von Karin Davie zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 20.211,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Karin Davie mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Psyche beobachtet, die im September 2010 für USD 74.500,00 (€ 54.775,38) versteigert wurde.
