Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Choker by Karin Davie was sold in the FIRST OPEN | Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in March 2016. The price achieved of USD 23,750.00 (€ 20,851.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Karin Davie - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Psyche, which sold at auction in September 2010 for USD 74,500.00 (€ 54,775.38).
