A top price for Kang Ik-Joong
In September 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Asia, which included the work Moon Jars by Kang Ik-Joong. Here, the upper estimate of USD 120,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 134,500.00 (€ 95,518.78). With this result, Moon Jars is even the most expensive work of art by Kang Ik-Joong that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Kang Ik-Joong
Im September 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Asia durch, in der auch die Arbeit Moon Jars von Kang Ik-Joong zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 120.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 134.500,00 (€ 95.518,78) einen neuen Besitzer. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Moon Jars sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Kang Ik-Joong, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
