Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2010 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Warhol in Astonishment by Kang Hyung-Koo. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 1,000,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 1,040,000.00 (€ 102,755.45). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Kang Hyung-Koo - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Vincent Van Gogh in Blue, which sold at auction in November 2007 for HKD 4,567,500.00 (€ 399,283.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2010 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Warhol in Astonishment von Kang Hyung-Koo zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 1.000.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 1.040.000,00 (€ 102.755,45) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Kang Hyung-Koo mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Vincent Van Gogh in Blue beobachtet, die im November 2007 für HKD 4.567.500,00 (€ 399.283,09) versteigert wurde.
