This artwork by Kang Hyung-Koo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013. In the Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) auction, the work Warhol Test II sold for HKD 2,200,000.00 (€ 208,584.45) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 1,000,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Kang Hyung-Koo; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Vincent Van Gogh in Blue sold at auction in November 2007 with the realized price of HKD 4,567,500.00 (€ 399,283.09).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Kang Hyung-Koo erzielte im November 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Evening Sale) wurde die Arbeit Warhol Test II für HKD 2.200.000,00 (€ 208.584,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 1.000.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Kang Hyung-Koo; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Vincent Van Gogh in Blue im November 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 4.567.500,00 (€ 399.283,09).
