Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Self-Portrait by Kang Hyung-Koo was sold in the Contemporary Day Auction auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 151,200.00 (€ 18,281.18) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Kang Hyung-Koo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vincent Van Gogh in Blue in November 2007 with an auction result of HKD 4,567,500.00 (€ 399,283.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Self-Portrait von Kang Hyung-Koo wurde im April letzten Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Day Auction bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 151.200,00 (€ 18.281,18) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Kang Hyung-Koo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vincent Van Gogh in Blue im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.567.500,00 (€ 399.283,09).
