This artwork by Showichi Kaneda achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2007. In the Asian Contemporary Art auction, the work Summer Jamming 2000 (Black) & Summer Jamming 2000 (Red) sold for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 16,390.93) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Showichi Kaneda have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Humans Own EVO5-01 in November 2009 with an auction result of HKD 1,220,000.00 (€ 104,961.98).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Showichi Kaneda erzielte im November 2007 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Summer Jamming 2000 (Black) & Summer Jamming 2000 (Red) für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 16.390,93) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Showichi Kaneda auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Humans Own EVO5-01 im November 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.220.000,00 (€ 104.961,98).
