Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Rock 'n' Roll is Not Dead by Showichi Kaneda was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. The price achieved of HKD 112,500.00 (€ 9,261.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 90,000.00 – 140,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Showichi Kaneda achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Humans Own EVO5-01 in November 2009 with an auction result of HKD 1,220,000.00 (€ 104,961.98).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Rock 'n' Roll is Not Dead von Showichi Kaneda wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 112.500,00 (€ 9.261,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 90.000,00 – 140.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Showichi Kaneda erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Humans Own EVO5-01 im November 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.220.000,00 (€ 104.961,98).
