Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Human'S Own Evo2 by Showichi Kaneda was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,381.00). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Showichi Kaneda achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Humans Own EVO5-01 in November 2009 with an auction result of HKD 1,220,000.00 (€ 104,961.98).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Human'S Own Evo2 von Showichi Kaneda im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.381,00) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Showichi Kaneda erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Humans Own EVO5-01 im November 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.220.000,00 (€ 104.961,98).
