Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Women From Saurashtra by Jyoti Bhatt was sold in the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction at Sothebys in London in October 2017. It changed hands for a price of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,827.20) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Other works by Jyoti Bhatt have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2019 the work Pouncing of Kombhodara was auctioned for USD 27,500.00 (€ 25,217.79).
