Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Villayatea Table by Jyoti Bhatt. The price achieved of GBP 408.00 (€ 472.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jyoti Bhatt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pouncing of Kombhodara in September 2019 with an auction result of USD 27,500.00 (€ 25,217.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Villayatea Table von Jyoti Bhatt zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 408,00 (€ 472,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jyoti Bhatt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pouncing of Kombhodara im September 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 25.217,79).
