This artwork by Jyoti Bhatt achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in September 2020. In the Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work Untitled (Eleven Iconic Photos Of Artists) sold for GBP 17,640.00 (€ 19,450.97) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 9,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Jyoti Bhatt; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Pouncing of Kombhodara sold at auction in September 2019 with the realized price of USD 27,500.00 (€ 25,217.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 96 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Jyoti Bhatt erzielte im September 2020 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Eleven Iconic Photos Of Artists) für GBP 17.640,00 (€ 19.450,97) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 9.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Jyoti Bhatt; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Pouncing of Kombhodara im September 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 25.217,79).
