Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Jyoti Bhatt was auctioned at Sothebys in London in October 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 2,600.00 – 3,600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,772.00 (€ 3,284.07) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jyoti Bhatt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Pouncing of Kombhodara in September 2019 with an auction result of USD 27,500.00 (€ 25,217.79).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Jyoti Bhatt kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.600,00 – 3.600,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.772,00 (€ 3.284,07) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jyoti Bhatt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Pouncing of Kombhodara im September 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 25.217,79).
