Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art, which included the work Women From Saurashtra by Jyoti Bhatt. It changed hands for a price of USD 18,750.00 (€ 14,584.63) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Other works by Jyoti Bhatt have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2019 the work Pouncing of Kombhodara was auctioned for USD 27,500.00 (€ 25,217.79).

Im September 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Women From Saurashtra von Jyoti Bhatt zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 14.584,63) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Jyoti Bhatt konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im September 2019 die Arbeit Pouncing of Kombhodara für USD 27.500,00 (€ 25.217,79) versteigert.
