The »bidding war« ended at USD 3,120.00 (€ 2,275.55), 56% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jyoti Bhatt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Pouncing of Kombhodara in September 2019 with an auction result of USD 27,500.00 (€ 25,217.79).

Die Arbeit Prakruti, 1967; A Blue Fly, 1972; Beginning A Journey, 1986 von Jyoti Bhatt wurde im Juli 2007 in der Auktion An Auction to Benefit the Kolkata Museum of Modern Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 3.120,00 (€ 2.275,55) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jyoti Bhatt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Pouncing of Kombhodara im September 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.500,00 (€ 25.217,79).
