Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2021 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Undrampech by Julio Galán. Here, the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 68,750.00 (€ 56,380.19). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julio Galán - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Silenzio, which sold at auction in September last year for USD 201,600.00 (€ 206,071.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2021 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Undrampech von Julio Galán zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 68.750,00 (€ 56.380,19) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Julio Galán mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Silenzio beobachtet, die im September letzten Jahres für USD 201.600,00 (€ 206.071,76) versteigert wurde.
