Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Torso by Julio Alpuy was sold in the Latin American Sale auction at Christies in New York in May 2012. The price achieved of USD 27,500.00 (€ 22,241.99) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julio Alpuy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Construcción en madera, which sold at auction in September last year for USD 81,900.00 (€ 83,716.65).
