Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The God Parents by Julie Roberts was auctioned at Bonhams in July this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,664.00 (€ 1,509.98) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julie Roberts achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Crime of Passion in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 79,000.00 (€ 53,785.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The God Parents von Julie Roberts kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.664,00 (€ 1.509,98) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julie Roberts erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Crime of Passion im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 79.000,00 (€ 53.785,40).
