Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Phillips in New York held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session, which included the work Offended Red by Julian Stanczak. The price achieved of USD 30,240.00 (€ 29,293.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Julian Stanczak - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Undulating Currents, which sold at auction in September 2014 for USD 125,000.00 (€ 98,986.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Morning Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Offended Red von Julian Stanczak zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 30.240,00 (€ 29.293,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Julian Stanczak mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Undulating Currents beobachtet, die im September 2014 für USD 125.000,00 (€ 98.986,38) versteigert wurde.
