Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Winter Morning, Sullivan Co. N.Y. by Julian Onderdonk was sold in the Western Art auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in February 2021. The price achieved of USD 7,012.50 (€ 5,798.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julian Onderdonk achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bluebonnets at Dawn, North of San Antonio in May last year with an auction result of USD 403,200.00 (€ 375,733.86).
