Auction result misses estimated price range

In the Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture Including the Collection of Dr. Mark and Irene Kauffman auction, the work Morning in the Live Oaks, Boerne, Texas changed hands for USD 22,500.00 (€ 16,874.16) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julian Onderdonk achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bluebonnets at Dawn, North of San Antonio in May last year with an auction result of USD 403,200.00 (€ 375,733.86).
