Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Staten Island, New York by Julian Onderdonk was sold in the California, Western and American Paintings, Drawings, and Sculpture auction at Christies in Beverly Hills in October 2008. Here, the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 20,000.00 (€ 15,770.38). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julian Onderdonk achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bluebonnets at Dawn, North of San Antonio in May last year with an auction result of USD 403,200.00 (€ 375,733.86).
