Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life With Brass Pot by Julian Alden Weir was sold in the American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,315.82) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julian Alden Weir achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nassau, Bahamas in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 459,000.00 (€ 393,316.20).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still Life With Brass Pot von Julian Alden Weir wurde im September 2008 in der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 18.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.315,82) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
