Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work My Ewen’s Bride (Annie Chinery Cameron) by Julia Margaret Cameron was auctioned at Phillips in New York in June 2019. Here, the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 7,500.00 (€ 6,636.58). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Julia Margaret Cameron achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sir John Herschel in April 2017 with an auction result of USD 112,500.00 (€ 103,258.38).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit My Ewen’s Bride (Annie Chinery Cameron) von Julia Margaret Cameron kam im Juni 2019 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 7.500,00 (€ 6.636,58) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Julia Margaret Cameron erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sir John Herschel im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 112.500,00 (€ 103.258,38).
