Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work French Portrait Of An Ottoman by Jules Joseph Lefebvre was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2009. Here, the upper estimate of USD 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 43,750.00 (€ 29,650.97). Admittedly, works by Jules Joseph Lefebvre have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Morning Glory in October 2008 with an auction result of USD 218,500.00 (€ 172,291.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit French Portrait Of An Ottoman von Jules Joseph Lefebvre kam im Oktober 2009 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 43.750,00 (€ 29.650,97) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jules Joseph Lefebvre auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Morning Glory im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 218.500,00 (€ 172.291,44).
