In October 2021 Sothebys in New York held the auction The European Art Sale, which included the work An Italian Girl with an Orange by Jules Joseph Lefebvre. The »bidding war« ended at USD 6,930.00 (€ 5,998.96), 39% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Jules Joseph Lefebvre achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Morning Glory in October 2008 with an auction result of USD 218,500.00 (€ 172,291.44).

Im Oktober 2021 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The European Art Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Italian Girl with an Orange von Jules Joseph Lefebvre zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 6.930,00 (€ 5.998,96) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Jules Joseph Lefebvre erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Morning Glory im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 218.500,00 (€ 172.291,44).
