This artwork by Jules Joseph Lefebvre achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in February 2019. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work Fatima sold for USD 68,750.00 (€ 60,418.31) - well above the upper estimate of USD 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jules Joseph Lefebvre - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Morning Glory, which sold at auction in October 2008 for USD 218,500.00 (€ 172,291.44).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Jules Joseph Lefebvre erzielte im Februar 2019 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Art wurde die Arbeit Fatima für USD 68.750,00 (€ 60.418,31) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 35.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Jules Joseph Lefebvre mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Morning Glory beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für USD 218.500,00 (€ 172.291,44) versteigert wurde.
