In October 2020 Christies in London held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work It Depends on What Direction You Look In by Jules de Balincourt. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 47,500.00 (€ 52,744.70), 58% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Jules de Balincourt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work US World Studies II in June 2010 with an auction result of GBP 277,250.00 (€ 337,161.81).

Im Oktober 2020 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit It Depends on What Direction You Look In von Jules de Balincourt zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 52.744,70) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jules de Balincourt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit US World Studies II im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 277.250,00 (€ 337.161,81).
