Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Sothebys in Paris held the auction Collection Jacques Ginepro, Une Vie de Sculptures, which included the work Buste de bébé endormi (Bust of a sleeping Baby) by Aimé-Jules Dalou. The price achieved of EUR 5,040.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aimé-Jules Dalou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paysanne Française Allaitant Son Enfant in June 2020 with an auction result of EUR 188,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Collection Jacques Ginepro, Une Vie de Sculptures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Buste de bébé endormi (Bust of a sleeping Baby) von Aimé-Jules Dalou zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 5.040,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aimé-Jules Dalou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paysanne Française Allaitant Son Enfant im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 188.500,00.
