The »bidding war« ended at GBP 4,462.50 (€ 5,085.79), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aimé-Jules Dalou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paysanne Française Allaitant Son Enfant in June 2020 with an auction result of EUR 188,500.00.

Die Arbeit A sculpted white marble figure of 'La Verité Meconnue (The Truth Unacknowledged)' von Aimé-Jules Dalou wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Home & Interiors bei Bonhams versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 4.462,50 (€ 5.085,79) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aimé-Jules Dalou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paysanne Française Allaitant Son Enfant im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 188.500,00.
