In May last year Sothebys in Paris held the auction Collection Jacques Ginepro, Une Vie de Sculptures, which included the work Quatre Ouvriers agricoles (Four Farm workers) by Aimé-Jules Dalou. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 4,788.00 60% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aimé-Jules Dalou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Paysanne Française Allaitant Son Enfant in June 2020 with an auction result of EUR 188,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Paris die Auktion Collection Jacques Ginepro, Une Vie de Sculptures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Quatre Ouvriers agricoles (Four Farm workers) von Aimé-Jules Dalou zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 4.788,00 und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aimé-Jules Dalou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Paysanne Française Allaitant Son Enfant im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 188.500,00.
