Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Angela Merkel, Bundeskanzlerin 2005-Present, Kanzler Hotel, Bonn 2016 by Jürgen Teller was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in London in April 2017. The price achieved of GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,820.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Jürgen Teller have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Paradis XVIII. in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 20,640.00.

Die Arbeit Angela Merkel, Bundeskanzlerin 2005-Present, Kanzler Hotel, Bonn 2016 von Jürgen Teller wurde im April 2017 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.375,00 (€ 2.820,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jürgen Teller auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Paradis XVIII. im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 20.640,00.
