This artwork by Juan Soler achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in January 2006. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work A stroll in the afternoon Madrid; and The elegant pedestrian, Madrid sold for GBP 1,560.00 (€ 2,286.49) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Juan Soler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Buying flowers in a Parisian street, which sold at auction in February 2001 for GBP 3,290.00 (€ 5,154.64).

In der Auktion British and Continental Pictures wurde die Arbeit A stroll in the afternoon Madrid; and The elegant pedestrian, Madrid für GBP 1.560,00 (€ 2.286,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Juan Soler mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Buying flowers in a Parisian street beobachtet, die im Februar 2001 für GBP 3.290,00 (€ 5.154,64) versteigert wurde.
