Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 1,062.50 (€ 1,424.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Juan Soler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Buying flowers in a Parisian street, which sold at auction in February 2001 for GBP 3,290.00 (€ 5,154.64).
