Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Sale Day Session, which included the work Trespejo by Juan Downey. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,500.00 (€ 5,106.21) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Juan Downey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Chilean Nitrate Of Soda Potash in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 89,694.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Sale Day Session durch, in der auch die Arbeit Trespejo von Juan Downey zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.500,00 (€ 5.106,21) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Juan Downey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Chilean Nitrate Of Soda Potash im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 89.694,14).
