Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Autorretrato con gorra by Juan Cárdenas for USD 21,510.00 (€ 21,657.27). This price was achieved in the auction Latin American Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Juan Cárdenas have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in May 2015 by the work Night and Day at USD 40,000.00 (€ 36,383.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Autorretrato con gorra von Juan Cárdenas für USD 21.510,00 (€ 21.657,27) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Latin American Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Juan Cárdenas wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Mai 2015 die Arbeit Night and Day mit USD 40.000,00 (€ 36.383,48).
