Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dutch The Madonna Of Drenthe by Jozef Israëls was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 33,750.00 (€ 43,447.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Jozef Israëls have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dutch dreams (Dolce Far Niente) in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 293,000.00 (€ 225,592.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dutch The Madonna Of Drenthe von Jozef Israëls kam im Dezember 2014 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 33.750,00 (€ 43.447,44) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Jozef Israëls auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dutch dreams (Dolce Far Niente) im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 293.000,00 (€ 225.592,85).
